The 7th JPSC civil services PT 2021 was conducted by Jharkhand Public Service Commission on September 19th, 2021. Once the paper is over, every candidate runs for the answer key and cutoff. The exam was held at 1102 centers in the 24 districts of Jharkhand. As per the reports, the JPSC had released admit cards of 3,69,327 candidates for the 7th JPSC PT 2021. Out of which, 67% of candidates appeared in the exams. Precisely, 67% means around 2.5 lakh candidates appeared in the exam. But, 33% of candidates did not appear in this most awaited exam conducted by the JPSC. This huge absence may dip the 7th JPSC PT cutoff 2021.

What are the cut off marks? How is it important? When does the JPSC declare the cut off marks?

The cutoff marks are the minimum marks that a candidate must achieve to qualify for an exam. For example, if the 7th JPSC PT cut off 2021 is 225 out of 400. Then, a candidate must secure 225 or above to qualify for the given exam. Usually, the JPS C declares the cut off marks of an exam after publishing the result of that exam. Once the result is out the commission declares the cut-off marks.

This exam has happened after 5 years. 2.5 lakh candidates have appeared. If we talk about the question paper, it was between average to tough. Let us talk about each paper separately. First, GS paper 1 was easier for UPSC aspirants but on the tougher side for PSC aspirants. The 7th JPSC PT 2021 GS paper 1 had 10 Jharkhand-specific questions. And, those were easy ones. But, if we talk about the other 90 questions, those were average to tough. Because around 30-35 questions were concept-based and not factual. And, even some of the factual questions were tough. Second, 7th JPSC PT 2021 GS paper 2 was tough for the non-Jharkhand students. And, it was average to tough for Jharkhand students.

This time the focus has shifted from the fact to the concept. Also, the time period of current appears to be of 4 years. The questions can be seen from the last four years. A few questions have unsatisfactory options. But, that is not a matter of concern for the students. Because everyone will be treated equally and marks will be adjusted accordingly. This expected cut off is in the range of plus/minus 5. It means that the range may go from minus 5 to plus 5. For example, the general cut off may range from 220 to 230. It is an expected cut off not final.

Who should prepare for 7th JPSC mains exam?

We all know that only those who reach the cut-off will appear for the mains exam. But this is 7th JPSC PT cut off 2021 is not final but expected. Even if, you are getting 20-25 marks less than the expected cut off then also you should start preparing for the mains.
